Hello everyone! This is my Johnny Cade x y/n fanfiction. Just a little heads up, this story doesn't take place during the time that The Outsiders does. It's kind of like an AU where Johnny and Dally didn't die, but all the other events happened. We'll say this is like, 6 months after. Also, I know that S. E. Hinton wrote a few books that take place after and have Outsiders characters in them, but I haven't read those in a hot minute so this won't be consistent with those books. Sorry! I hope you enjoy!

"They were hurting my poor feet and I could barely walk in them. I didn't really like them anyway." "Fair enough." Silence. "What are you listening too?" "You talk a lot don't you?" "There's no point going though life never being heard." He chuckled at me again. Maybe he's drunk? "I'm listening to music." "Duh. What kind of music, dumbo?" "Rock." What a surprise. "Can I listen?" Silently, he handed over an earbud for me.
