Eomer, the Marshall of Rohan met an unlikely lady that is unknown to him of origin. A princess from a kingdom unknown to all men. A culture very new to him. What if there was a group of ragtaggle, unwanted, yet powerful girls who worked as mercenaries for lords and ladies who couldn't be bothered to trouble themselves to solve their own problems? What is said group ran into a group of rather serious dwarves, a hobbit and a wizard who were of on an adventure involving an awful LOT of treasure? I don't own the Hobbit or the characters except the ladies that I have created -- Aelith, Avice, Nora (aka Bryony the Xanadu Wizard), Runa, Nienna, Sarabelle, Silvia. Please note that the idea for the Sisterhood is completely original. [I have recently seen another using this idea, I did come up with it first.] Also, there will be romance, but it will developed as normal, healthy relationships do, not explode instantaneously into being. Ravera is still in Middle Earth, after somehow arriving there one morning from modern earth. After saving Boromir, but becoming critically injured herself, they continue on their journey, the timeline completely changed. With the timeline changed different things happened, and Ravera begins to find that things aren't happening like in the book, or the movie. Somethings she's just completely un-prepared for.

He'd grown up on Bilbo's tales of adventure. Of dragons and dwarves and gold and glory. He thought that was what he wanted too. The immortalization that accompanies a hero. He got his wish, but at what cost? Real-life was not like the fantasies of his youth. Through his despair he accepted that a simple happily ever after doesn't exist, and the hero doesn't return unscathed. Being called the Mad Baggins of Bag End was not a title of praise, but a striking reminder of his inability to ever return to the bright, blue-eyed hobbit he once was; respected and accepted by his peers. He wonders-not for the first time-if Bilbo knew this too, and if the stories he filled Frodo's young head with were purposefully absent of all that is dark and dismal. Death and destruction replaced by hope and victory. Meant to inspire, yet shield him from the true tragedy that accompanies a hero. If he can even call himself one. A path had been cut through the wheat field, not wide, just enough to show a person had entered. Rosie followed the path of broken stems to what at first glance was a bundle of clothes. She took her walking cane and gave it a gentle poke. In a flash the bundle took the form of a child, moving away with tiny hands raised over their grubby face. It was a girl, long tangled hair blown about her face, obscuring the layer of grime that was only broken by tear tracks; her clothes were of the wintertime that passed several months ago and her cheekbones were more pronounced than they should ever be on one so young. At her age, she should be cherubic, but instead, she reminded Rosie of a walking skeleton. The girl whimpered as if expecting a blow. Rosie fell slowly to her knees - though she was only a few inches taller than the human child to begin with - so as not to spook the child; she palled her lunch from her basket and held out her hand, "Are you hungry?" The child let her hands fall and she simply stared at the Hobbit in front of her, the child stood so still, unsure if Rosie was friend or foe. The old Hobbit sat up and backed away, letting the girl come forwards. When the apple was gone the child began to cry and came to Rose with arms open wide. She did not know it yet but the young girl clinging to the front of her apron would live a life of adventures one could only dream of...

I've recently been reading a lot of Hobbit fanfic and been rewatching the movies. I guess that's all that needs to be said. *cover art not mine*

Roper is a Dúnedan - a Ranger. As a child he was brought up in the Bree-Land, but after the kidnapping of his brother, Gandalf took him away to join his kin in the protection of West: a solemn calling laid upon the descendants of Isildur. From the troubled boarders of the Shire to the growing darkness of Mirkwood, He must learn what it means to be a Ranger - to face hardship and toil and love for the protection of Middle Earth. While there are well-known characters including Gandalf, Legolas, Tom Bombadil and Golberry, and Elladan and Elrohir, Roper is a completely original character as is Lorellin - a daughter of the Dúnedain whom he works beside - and I am not following any part of LotR or The Hobbit, as this story takes place years before. I've been hurt, bruised, and made fun of the majority of my life by my kin. All because my wings look different from their wings. I never knew why. I always believed that my wings are so beautiful.
