When Hotaru, now living with her uncle full-time, visits the forest out of her daily habit, she can't help but notice a familiar presence in the air. Meanwhile, Gin, now a spirit of the Mountain God's forest, searches for a way to contact his lovely Hotaru. Yet, he finds himself incapable of speaking to her... Or speaking in general. Will he be able to tell his love that he is here, that he does in fact love her? Disclaimer: I do not own Hotarubi no Mori e and am not associated with any adjoining companies.

Gin tried to save a little human boy and perhaps that was his end. But wait, maybe it wasn't........ ~ An alternate (and happier) version of the extremely beautiful anime movie, "Hotarubi no mori e" for all those who were heartbroken after watching the movie (like me).

Dalam cerpen ini, mengisahkan seorang roh hutan pria yang bisa memiliki wujud seperti manusia dengan perhitungan usia yang berbeda dengan manusia, roh hutan masih bisa berwujud manusia apabila ia tidak bersentuhan dengan manusia. Namun, karena refleks perbuatan Gin yang menolong anak manusia agar tidak terjatuh terbentur tanah, membuat Gin dan Hotaru harus terpisah. Gin kembali ke wujud roh hutan yang asli, yaitu sebuah cahaya seperti kunang dan tidak bisa lagi menemui Hotaru dalam wujud manusia, bahkan tak bisa berbicara dengan Hotaru dalam wujud roh hutan. Walaupun di surat Gin menuliskan ia berharap Hotaru menemukan pria yang bisa membahagiakan dan mencintainya seperti dirinya, namun ia terus berupaya untuk bisa kembali ke wujud manusianya. Gin di dunianya pun berusaha untuk mengembalikan wujudnya agar bisa menjadi seperti manusia kembali, usahanya membuahkan hasil setelah 100 tahun lamanya, hingga ia mendatangi tempat ia menaruh surat sebagai bukti keberadaannya di dunia roh. Itulah yang mempertemukannya dengan Yato, yang ternyata cucu dari Hotaru, bahkan hingga saat ini pun Gin belum mengetahui fakta tersebut dan masih menanti kedatangan Hotaru. (Title means Return to the forest of fireflies- I just used Google Translate)

Heavily inspired by Hatorubi no mori e. This story tells of Sickly Mikaela who meets a strange but and the time that they spent together. Felt like I had to put my love for this anime in words. Crudely done cover but the story is rather beautiful.

And for those who don't know Hotarubi no Mori e, I'm begging you to watch it beforehand. It's a very good anime movie.

This story is my greek mythology version of the anime Hotarubi no Mori e. Just so ya guys know. This was a project I did for English class. I decided to post it because it ended up pretty cool. I hope you guys find it cool too. Enjoy!

Dù đã xem đi xem lại rất nhiều lần câu chuyện này nhưng chả biết sao nước mắt tôi vẫn cứ rơi , tôi cảm động với cái tình yêu ấy , tôi không muốn có một cái kết như vậy . Vẫn là câu chuyện ấy , vẫn là 2 nhân vật ấy nhưng sẽ là một cái kết khác - hoàn mỹ và hạnh phúc hơn . Nam chính vẫn là Gin thân yêu của chúng ta nhưng so với nguyên tác anh sẽ khác đi rất nhiều . Anh sẽ giữ vai là một anh chàng lạnh lùng , hay đa nghi lại mang một vài phần bá đạo nên các bạn cũng đừng sốc nhiều với tính cách quay ngược 180 độ của anh nhé :v Nữ chính vẫn là chị Hotaru Takegawa , trong fic này tính cách của chị sẽ có phần nhí nhảnh và nghịch ngợm hơn cho dù là lúc lớn hay nhỏ . Ở fic này cuộc chiến tranh giữa 2 anh chị hơi bị nhiều , nhưng người ta bảo thương nhau lắm cắn nhau đau mà nên cứ để 2 anh chị đánh nhau nhiều nhiều vô nhằm hàn gắn tình cảm :v Các nhân vật phụ có lẽ sẽ vẫn như thế , không thay đổi nhiều lắm .

Aos dois anos, acabei sendo abandonada em uma floresta qualquer. Meu instinto dizia para ficar, mas meu corpo apenas engatinhou em alguma direção. Eu podia sentir as folhas e a terra grudando em meus joelhos, as mãos, ainda mais sujas, as vezes passavam pelos troncos úmidos das árvores, meu olhar desviava atento em várias direções, logo, meu olhar se pôs em pés calçados á um tênis vermelho..

"its been 2 years since gin disappeared, i remember our first and last hug. the only thing that i have left is his mask. after that day i never wear that mask again, i put it where no one can take it. its been 2 years, but its still hurts" hotaru~ but what if gin come back to life. he come back to life as a normal person (clue word:normal person) he can finally touch people. after gin come back to life, he spend all day just find hotaru. but what if gin heard some news about hotaru that might broke his heart. Author: hey penguins🐧!! so me and my friend really think about this story. we dont want to cry because gin disappeared (or whatever happens to him) so what if we make a another story that have a happy ending (idk if this is going to be a happy ending) but, just enjoy it. (2022 me: why did i call you guys penguins?)
