An oracle from Vorrhollow spoke of ruin-a prophecy of a kingdom fated to fall. But the king refused to listen, and she was silenced before her warning could be fully heard. On the night the prince was born, the skies shattered-fire and thunder tore the heavens, rivers swelled and drowned the land. A year later, in the ruins, a girl was born marked by a streak of white through her brown hair-a sign no one could mistake. The king's men searched desperately. Mothers clutched their children tighter. The people waited. Years passed, and fear faded. The prince grew into a ruler, and the prophecy seemed forgotten. But fate does not forget. On the prince's twentieth year, the hourglass turned. Crops withered, rivers ran dry, and the kingdom slipped toward ruin-whether they chose to believe it or not. With time slipping away like sand... the marked girl must choose: Fulfill the prophecy- Or rewrite fate itself.

After Joan and Amelia turned ten (sometime during the 15th and 16th centuries), they stopped aging as fast as normal humans. Once they reached twenty, they stopped aging completely. They can die, but they'll never grow old and so can live forever as long as they aren't murdered or caught in an accident. It runs in their family. They had a brother and parents, but now they're all alone. They know there must be more people out there like them, but the problem is where to find them.

As much as the others say, Our life is just like an Hourglass. Sand silently runs down from it, Making our time shorter.
