Remember when dads shoulders were the highest point on earth?~ [that's irrelevant]~ When mom was our hero, fixing our ouchies. Getting high meant swinging on the playground, using protection meant remembering to where a helmet for a bike ride, Coming out meant retreating from your hiding place. In this day and age, A first kiss turns into loosing your virginity. Vodka means waking up in an unknown area. "sticks n stones can break my bones but words shall never harm me. " I think my English teacher was trying to prepare me for reality This story is based on a small reality, that nobody ever noticed, a story about a girl trying to live her life without worry, but fails miserably. A story of a girl growing up in a broken home with a mother who is soon to be dead from alcohol poisoning. A story of young love that saves one of many lives. This song represents my emotions perfectly, never got to him how I loved him, the days he held me on the park when I cried on his shoulder. "I love you." I whisper at the end of the song.
