Hermit City is a city of heroes and villains, and Grian is one of its most reliably factual and truthful reporters. So reliable, in fact, that the Heroes' Association values him and his reports enough that they assigned him a bodyguard: HotGuy himself! Grian and Scar have been doing this for years, now, and their relationship is more than just that of bodyguard and charge. It might even be more than just a friendship! Their time to explore and find out what they are to each other is cut short when Grian starts investigating the famous Pearl Moon case, and Scar isn't there to protect him.

Hels was a newcomer to the Hermitcraft server, stepping onto its soil for the first time with cautious curiosity. His brother, Wels, had vouched for him, putting his own reputation on the line to convince the admin to let him in. Xisuma had been hesitant, which was strange-wasn't he the one with the final say in these matters? Instead, he'd mentioned needing to consult someone else before making a decision. The delay had been unnerving, but in the end, Hels was granted entry. Now, with the vast world of Hermitcraft stretching before him, he set out to explore, taking in the strange blend of chaos and creativity that made this place unique. It felt... different. Unfamiliar, yet oddly welcoming. But beneath that warmth, Hels couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Xisuma's hesitation-something unsaid, lurking just beneath the surface.

Time still ticked down for them, so the Watchers thought it would be interesting to send them something they'd never watch grow up: a child. They loved their new children dearly, but knew they couldn't be there with them for most of their lives. Until Grian discovered that the children had infinite time, but only one life. He found a way to get his child to send him time so he could live longer. He shared this with the other players, and they've been almost immortal ever since. The only catch was they couldn't take too much time off of their children without them getting close to death. Grian became a Timekeeper, and all the other players began working to raise their kids and make a new civilisation, a new way of life. Luckily, the Watchers were still entertained. The rest of the players? They won't be entertained much longer.
