Yuhhers
Who could have guessed that a chance encounter between two very different individuals could flip their lives upside down and ignite Endou's relentless pursuit of his mysterious senpai, which would only deepen with each passing day? Before long, his stubborn enthusiasm proves infectious, pulling the entire Raimon soccer team into his orbit - and into the chase.
*SLAM*
The rooftop door groans open. Keen eyes sweep the shadows, hunting for their elusive target.
And there she lies - untouched, untroubled, utterly surreal - their unreachable goal, their mysterious cool senpai, sprawled across the cold concrete with no care for the world beyond the roof.
"PLEASE JOIN US, SENPAI! WITH YOU, WE'LL BECOME UNBEATABLE AND WIN NATIONALS!
A sigh escapes Mizuki's lips. One arm rests beneath her head like a makeshift pillow; the other drapes across her eyes, a barrier against the radiance of her juniors. "It's barely nine in the morning," she murmurs, voice feather-light, "and I can already feel a headache blooming behind my eyes." She turns onto her side, her back turned l against their fervor. "Hiding in this school..." she breathes into the quiet, "...is utterly impossible."
In which Raimon's very own oblivious lazy genius - their untouchable student council president, and Endou Mamoru's (and soon the entire Raimon soccer team's) most bewildering obsession - must patiently babysit a horde of soccer-crazed children (plus her own brother) while clinging desperately to the fraying threads of her sanity. All while preventing them from getting themselves killed, committing spectacular acts of stupidity, surviving solely on ramen (a tragedy in nutrition), and flunking school with barely passed tests and missed homework assignments. Oh, and simultaneously avoiding getting entangled in their lives any more than strictly necessary.
P.S. She fails. Miserably. But honestly, she never regrets it.
