lil original i whipped up a bit ago, decided to post it.

THIS IS A RE-WRITE OF THE SAME BOOK WITH A CHANGE IN STORYTELLING PERSPECTIVE. Please let me know which version reads better. Shauna I don't have time to look for love. I run four businesses with my siblings and if I'm not at one of the shops then I'm at home baking for the shops. I work seven days a week twelve hours a day. I cook and clean and workout at JAGG, Just A Girl Gym, my ladies only workout spot. I am not likely to meet 'Mr. Right,' at any of these spots, and for now I am okay with that. So why is it that when the new guest looks at me with his deep green/brown eyes, I want to melt in a puddle and cook and clean for only him (insert eye roll here for the stupid cliché I just fantasized about.") Christoffer I am not putting up with this shit! If my mother and sister want to be the leaders of their social set, let them marry Kourtney. Because I sure as hell won't. I have a company to run and my own life to lead. Let me live my life and you live yours. I don't want that cookie cutter Barbie doll; I want something I can hold on to. I need a woman that has a good head on her shoulders and does something more than entertain more of the same empty-headed robots like herself. Now I have to get away from all this craziness because they have stressed me the hell out. When I see her coming down the stairs all I want to do is grab her up, yank those stupid yellow gloves off, and whisk her away to a better life, I mean what the hell, anything is better than being a housekeeper, right? Afterthoughts. Not Ex Machina, just Tabula Rasa.

This is one of my few written stories (for now), and it explores dark, emotional territory - a quiet descent from love into isolation. It's a character-driven narrative meant to test the reader's empathy, patience, and sense of right and wrong. What begins as a tender reflection on belonging and family slowly unravels into something more unsettling. It's not a horror story in the traditional sense, but it is meant to leave you uneasy. Interpret it how you will. I'm still learning, but I hope it connects with someone out there.

Last year, I decided to write a bouquet of cozy fantasy short stories about plant people. It started as a way for me to explore and improve my writing, but also to hopefully create fantasy worlds full of wonder and adventure. The first tale introduces us to Gold Mary who tends to the Sunken garden. She serves a large plant community by finding them plots and nourishing them all. For the Garden is the body, and the plants are the soul. In the larger picture, we will meet more sentient plant people that inhabit other gardens in this forever growing world. Hope you like it! The story will resume next with "Lawn Dad," which follows Gold Mary's father.

Dear My Heart, I will never stop loving you not today, not tomorrow, not even in the quiet years when our paths no longer meet.
