This is a collection of anecdotes, stories, reflections and essays about life. Some are original compositions, while some are folklores and condensed from related articles. I am just hoping that readers can relate on the anecdotes and reflect on the ideas and thoughts relevant to our existence.

Allen Quincey(17) is dealing with his long-time addiction to mainly but not exclusively Heroin and perscription Xanax. He struggles to find the correct way to help himself without finding death in the process. Allen searches for his 'lost self' amid battling his past, future and present lifestyle, choices, and the people surrounding him in his enduring quest to be sober.

She never loses. She observes. She anticipates. She controls. Men are patterns. Predictable moves on a chessboard she knows too well. Until him. He doesn't chase. He doesn't react. He doesn't play. And for the first time... she's not sure she's the one in control. In Paris, between cold nights and calculated messages, one thing becomes clear: the real danger isn't losing. It's feeling.

[19:4] Most days - which I wish would be all - I return to the recesses of the religion that raised me and of the faith that had kept my heart at peace for so long. We're all lacking - whether by sinning or by failing to fulfil our obligations to the fullest. However, I pray that we strive to be the best we can be. As a proud Muslim, as someone who's not afraid to advocate for Islam, though I may lack in knowledge, as someone who finds peace and safety in the bosom of this beautiful faith, I share with you my musings. Whether it is verses I've loved and/or pondered over, whether it is miracles within the Qur'an that I have learned of and find fascinating, or whether it is Nasheeds, I want to share them here. These are the musings of my surrendered, muslim heart. One that has only surrended to the Lord of the Worlds.

My Feelings toward my idiotic father.

From within the wild and green places, something reached out. This story is but a small piece of an infinite puzzle. The thing that lingers along with me on myriad jaunts through the woods and fields. It's an old friend and an old foe, and it surrounds me with an embrace of chaos and coincidence. Brand new are you to me, And so am I to you. Briskly I run to thee, My soul and heart accrue. Swiftly you come to me, When both we meet inside. The truth is where we see What narrow is and wide. True to the life we know, That love is what is real, You and I overflow And follow love uphill. Zeal blessing us with skill, And bringing us up high, Spills us into the sky, And greets us Adonai. God giving us His love, And facing her and me, In paradise above, Proclaims that we are free.
