Where the mind goes when sleep doesn't take me

I wrote these with the dark and sleepless thoughts I had. It's amazing, really. If you open your eyes to it; Pain and Death. We never stray far from its grip, now do we?

Just a short cute poem about the number one thing that keeps me up... i know, I know... it's bad. In fact I wrote this poem at 2 in the morning! :o

Think of it like a story that can be read in any order. Unable to sleep, the poet is transported to a land of angels and demons, and cosmic truths. On their adventure, they visit many strange places like a side walk in the middle of the night, ancient cities half buried in sand, Eden itself, or even the edge of the earth. Scared, they find their beliefs about the nature of the universe are often challenged, but there is no easy way out. Maybe, one day, they won't be lost any more. For perspective and philosophy see the first half. For life, and experience see the second. A cosmic journey begins at Delight, a more personal one at Regret. There will, however, be overlap.

At a bed and breakfast place, the Millerfords and the Fowlers settle in as they don't realize what is expected to come. Rachel the babysitter, helps siblings Molly and Andrew as the adults are on out somewhere. But things start to reoccur..."I feel like where not alone Rachel..." Marcus swallows. "What makes you say that?" Rachel asks. Dark forces start to occur while they sleep. The next morning the terror happens like it did before. "How are we going to get rid of this on VACATION?!" RACHEL PANICED. "I don't think it was us," Marcus said. "I think they set us up."

She loved sleep when she could get it, but never could sleep with her unconsolable nightmares. She found comfort staring at the stars on her roof at 2:47 in the morning. She would sit there and think. She would think about her flaws and insecurities. Or her dead parents. She tried with all of her might to hide herself behind a persona of being a normal looking girl in high school, so nobody would think twice about her. She had a handful and a half of best friends, but mostly liked to keep to herself. Just when she thought she's been kept under the radar, she's noticed by a boy she never thought would look once. And he sees through her normal, unbroken persona. Right into her heteroclite, broken self.

Kate never thought that her life could change in just an instant. She's busy in her guitar career, but little did she know just how far she could get with it. When she starts touring with green day, one thing was for certain with all of the twists this brings her: life for Kate would never be the same.

Anxiety through the roof, what will happen when he doesn't know what's going on? He stresses about not being able to communicate, and his softer side starts to show through.
