Matched: My Academic Rival
Her POV
He's arrogant, always walking around like he owns the place. Maybe he does-his family donated the new library building, after all. But someone seriously needs to humble him.
Lexie gives me that look when I grumble under my breath about him. And maybe I am being a little harsh... But it's hard not to when he's my number one academic rival. From the moment we stepped into university, it's been one competition after another-whether it's exams, class debates, or even the simplest assignments, he's always there, just a step ahead. The worst part? He's impossible to ignore.
But as much as I hate to admit it, there's more to him than I thought. And slowly, as our rivalry intensifies, something else starts to brew between us-a slow-burning attraction that neither of us expected.
His POV
She's infuriating-always acting like she's the only one who deserves to be at the top. I see her in the library at ungodly hours, her brow furrowed, chasing a perfection she's already achieved. And as much as I hate to admit it, she's good. Really good.
But for every assignment she aces, I'm right behind her-or ahead of her. It's the game we've been playing since day one, and I live for the thrill of it. There's just one problem: I can't stop thinking about her.
At first, it was admiration. Then frustration. Now? Now, it's something I don't even want to name. But with every fiery exchange and every time she rolls her eyes at me, I feel it more-this undeniable pull toward the one person I can't afford to lose to, or worse... fall for.
