She was never the favorite daughter. Never the ideal cousin. Never the girl who fit into mirrors or people's expectations. Mishel Wahaj, the youngest in a large, opinionated family, has grown up hearing one thing - "You need to lose weight." From aunties' taunts to silent glances at weddings, she's been shrinking emotionally long before she ever tried to shrink physically. But on the edge of 18, something inside her breaks - and quietly begins to rebuild. Across the same bloodline, Rayyan Alvi, her much older cousin - a 28-year-old CSS officer - is everything she's not: composed, dignified, unreachable. For years, Mishel barely registered in his world. But when life pulls them back into the same orbit, something fragile begins to form between unspoken words, eyes that linger too long, and a past that refuses to stay buried. This isn't a love story told in flowers and fairytales. It's told in sajdahs, silences, self-worth, and slow healing. As Mishel fights for her identity, her voice, and her relationship with Allah - she discovers that sometimes the most powerful love stories begin when you finally learn to love yourself. A journey of broken mirrors, unexpected souls, and divine timing. Because when Allah writes your story... nothing comes too early, and nothing comes too late.

In the heart of Lahore, under the grand roof of the Lodhi Haveli, two cousins from the same family walk a path neither expected - one fueled by pride, the other by unspoken emotions. Yahya Khanzada, 28, is a respected ASP and the embodiment of discipline, control, and authority. Known for his commanding aura, even elders of the family bend to his will. To him, life is logic, honor, and order - there is no room for drama, childishness, or impulsive emotions. Zimal Lodhi, 18, is everything Yahya dislikes - loud, dramatic, chubby, and impulsive. Yet beneath her childish exterior lies a fierce heart, unafraid to dream, to feel, and to challenge the world... even Yahya. Their worlds collide when circumstances force them into a marriage neither wants. A wedding born out of family duty, revenge, and unexpected twists binds them together - the cold, commanding man and the fiery, emotional girl. Hate, resentment, and misunderstandings fuel their initial days, yet as their lives intertwine, each begins to see the other beyond first impressions. From heated arguments to silent tensions, from mutual annoyance to reluctant respect, the two discover that love can be found even where hearts once feared it could never exist. Ana wa Anta is a story of pride, passion, and the slow-burning transformation of two opposites, testing the boundaries of family, honor, and the heart itself.

Fatima has been through everything-from a failed marriage to a crippling lack of confidence. She thought she had all the time in the world to figure out her feelings for Mustapha Ibrahim. But when things became too real, too overwhelming, she chose distance over confrontation. Now, time is no longer a luxury-Mustapha is sick, and the man who once seemed invincible is slipping away. Once celebrated as one of Nigeria's brightest young architects, Mustapha built his career with unwavering confidence. He had it all-success, admiration, and the quiet hope that Fatima would one day be his. But life had other plans. His diagnosis changed everything, stripping him of control and forcing him to confront a future he never envisioned. Now, with fate pressing down on them, Fatima returns-determined to make amends and hold onto whatever is left of him. But Mustapha has already let go. He refuses to tether her to a love that may not last, to a future that might end before it truly begins. Yet, despite the walls he builds, Fatima refuses to walk away again. As emotions unravel and the weight of unspoken words hangs between them, they must face the truth-love alone cannot change fate, but it can redefine the moments they have left. A heart-wrenching story of love, regret, and the battle between holding on and letting go. This is "The Distance Between Us"

The perfect wedding. The perfect frame. The perfect revenge. Zarah was the celebrated architect of Kaduna's most beautiful skylines, and her wedding to Farouq Bello was meant to be her crowning achievement. But by midnight, the celebration is over. The music has died, the guests have departed, and Zarah is standing in a bridal suite painted in her husband's blood. There were no witnesses. There were no other fingerprints. Every piece of forensic evidence points to one person: the bride. Cast into the hollow silence of a prison cell for six months, Zarah watches her life crumble as the world brands her a "Black Widow." But Zarah is not who they think she is. Behind her elegant facade lies a mind trained to see what others miss-a dark expertise she brought back from her years in America and buried for the sake of love. Just as the steel doors are about to lock for good, a mysterious benefactor emerges from the shadows, and a shocking confession from an unknown stranger sets her free. Zarah walks out of prison a ghost, returning to a city that fears her and a conspiracy that wants her dead. They think they got away with the perfect crime. They don't realize that Zarah knows how to read the blueprints of a murder. With a silent ally inside the police department and a "Big Fish" pulling strings from the penthouse suites, Zarah begins a cold, calculated descent into the heart of the elite circle that destroyed her life. She designed their homes. She knows their secrets. And now, she's coming to collect the debt. The Nikkah was just the beginning. The real ceremony starts now.

Kulthum is going through something. It could be a hormonal shift, another round of her "rebellious teen phase" even though she's now twenty-two, or an identity crisis. Whatever it is, Kulthum has changed. She can feel it, and everyone can see it, but no one can cite a reason for it-including her. When Kulthum comes home from her third unattained university degree, lugging more than suitcases, her parents have had enough. They decide to do what every African parent living in the United Kingdom has once threatened to do. They ship her back home to Nigeria. With a one-way first-class ticket, Kulthum finds herself stranded in the busy city of Lagos, stuck with a family she knows nothing about and surrounded by her culture, which feels completely foreign to her. Her parents hope her year abroad will cause her to have a change of heart...but Kulthum meets a man who might steal it. - - - - First Published September 28th 2024. They also discovered that they both shared the same ambition in life, and that they both hated politics and wanted to escape their fathers' influence. And in their fits of distress and anxiety these two find themselves at each other's mercy. He needs her to keep him rooted to his beliefs and she needs him to pull her out of her culture. I held the pregnancy test strip with one of my trembling hands while the other hand was on the bathroom wall keeping me steady and from slamming hard to the ground, I can't even place a hand on what emotion I should fell right now. "I mean those hands are even trembling". Just stood there completely out of control of my own body and emotions, the tears in my eyes that I don't know when they got there blurred the vision of the once clear two lines on the strip indicating that I'm pregnant!! yes you heard right I'm pregnant again and this time I know happiness is far from one of my unclear feelings. My knees grew weaker and my self supporting hand on the bathroom wall was slipping away "Farooq" I manage to call hoping he would hear me before my body tuds on the floor and I lost consciousness.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single woman in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a husband." Wait, that's not quite right. Malak, for one thing, does not have a good fortune, at least not the finanial kind. Still, she always felt like she had it all, though some would argue that point, especially distant relatives. But she just made tenure, upgraded to Yamaha bike with that bonus check, and most importantly, the adoption process has been finalized and she was the proud mother of the 15 year old Noor, after fostering for five years. But most people back home, all they can see is a established but single Muslim woman in her 30s in desperate need of a man, who doesn't put enough effort to get married, and selfishly chose to have a child on her own. Over the years, she's avoided potential blind dates like cooked meat on Eid morning, but deep down, she wasn't sure she could get past her belief that love and marriage weren't in her 'qadar' file. Still, nothing is ever as it seems, and when it comes to love, Malak knows better than most, that it is best not to be blind.
