Hidden Life

Nadine's hand attached onto her open mouth in utter disbelief. She didn't want to believe what she was seeing was real and promptly closed her eyes, opening them after a minute to ensure she wasn't dreaming. Unfortunately, no matter how many times her eyes evaded the sight of the result and no matter how many times she shook or lightly tapped her face--it wasn't a dream. At 24, in what had become the height of her career, she was pregnant and could only wonder what not only the media and her family would say, but how to break the news to James.
