[Jalex] In Clearwater Low Security Mental Institution, no one seems to be able to understand Alex Gaskarth. That is until a lonely student, named Jack Barakat, takes on the role of a doctor, in order to help his family financially. - In which a group of kids at a boarding school have no idea what they're doing with their lives and are all on the somewhat same level of confusion and apathy for everything. It doesn't help that everyone's got some sort of mystery to them. Tay disappears for long periods of time at least twice a week, Vic is trapped in a scary relationship, Ryan isn't sure of anything in life which they fight by running too much, and Kellin eats too much and can't sleep because of nightmares which might have to do with the scars all over his arms. Alex is homeless, playing his acoustic on the streets just to get by, that is until Jack shows up. Jack gives him his leather jacket in a moment of kindness that Alex never forgets. Years pass and Alex is a famous musician but Alex still has the jacket, searching for it's owner even if it's just to say thank you.
