Like all teenagers, Ali thinks she has more figured out than she really does - boys are drawn to her, girls confide in her, and by all means on the surface her prospects look optimistic. But the past she ran away from when she left for boarding school catches up with her present, colliding with a multitude of masked insecurities. Often unaware or frankly unconcerned with the consequences of her actions she comes to find that the future that's been planned for her is now unattainable, even if it was what she really wanted. Through a host of mistakes, heartbreaks, make-ups, and laughs Ali may come to realize that the prim and proper white glove image everyone has come to expect of her may get more than a little dirty along the way to true self-actualization.
