Season 5 is all mixed up. What's real what's not? Some of it is, and some of it isn't. What's going to happen to all our beloved characters? Did they all really live? The fight may have been long according to the time but it felt too fast, too easy for comfort. Vecna lives. All lives are on the line. What's going to happen?

So in my opinion Season 5 was horrible in handling queer representation (as someone who is part of the LGBTQ community herself), especially with queer baiting Byler, so I've combined both of my hyper fixations together, and made a fanfic where Will and Mike get the love story they deserve!

Alternative ending for stranger things, it starts at the beginning of chapter 8, season 5. It will contain a longer final battle and more deaths, deaths that will hurt. Don't read if you haven't watched the end of Stranger Things yet, or you liked the canon ending. I personally was disappointed with the ending so I decided to write my own. And it will contain LGTBQIA+ content and some non-canon ships so if you don't want that just don't read this. I took the fan made poster for season five for the front page, so credits to the creator.

Summary: Uploading my work from ao3 A rewrite of the events after Season 5, Episode 5. To (hopefully) ease the disappointment that so many of us are feeling, I wrote this fanfic addressing some issues and things we wanted to see more of, many of which we had with volumes 2-3 of the series finale. Notes: +I'll play it safe 'cause I don't think I'll be able to write character deaths/how others will grieve their deaths well +The melting room scene was not a breakup. It was a scene of a couple who finally decided to be honest with each other and grew stronger because of it. +I will be using theories made by different fans online +I'll be using dialogue from specific scenes in the series as well for a better understanding of the flow Please also lower your expectations for the quality of writing and vocabulary. I'm not very skilled or experienced in writing stories and dialogue. I think the storytelling feels script-like, too. Sorry about that.

This is a book that contains cutesy moments of these two because... why not? Also, no smut because I don't feel comfortable doing that, but I might put some spice oneshots if you all comment for it. Everyone survives, except Eleven. Everyone moved ahead, at least they tried to, but there was one person stuck in the shadows. Mike moved through the days like a shadow, holding up a silence heavier than words. Every corner of Hawkins whispered her absence, yet beneath the grief, a fragile hope maybe somewhere she was still out there, lingering, watching, alive in ways he couldn't see.

An alternate universe in which Mike and El(le) are competitive figure skaters from rivals clubs forced to practice at the same rink. Will they stay rivals, or is something else in the cards? This story will contain strong language, violence, homophobic slurs, and mentions of abuse. Trigger warnings for homophobic slurs and abuse as well as future situations will be stated at the beginning of the chapter if they are applicable.

Will Byers is confident, clever, and college-ready, but one raised voice can still make him retreat into himself. When his sister drags him to a Mike Wheeler concert, he meets a famous, chaotic, and unexpectedly vulnerable rockstar who might just see him for who he really is. Between music, sarcasm, and quiet moments, enemies slowly become something more, and Will begins to wonder if he might finally be worth loving.
