Joey loved duelling, but didn't feel he was skilled enough, or had a purpose, for it to take him somewhere in the future. That is until, his younger sister Serenity, was in the hospital. Her sight was failing and she needed an operation, or she would go permanently blind, but the operation was very expensive. Finally, with a purpose, Joey Wheeler decided it was time to see where his duelling skills will take him.

When a young woman with a strange, unexplained past falls asleep on her couch while watching Yu-Gi-Oh, she's ripped out of her world and dropped into another - one where the game isn't just a hobby or a show, but a living, breathing reality. Now she's navigating a life that isn't hers yet somehow fits her perfectly: a new apartment, a new school, a new reputation as a duelist... and even a version of herself who already existed here. As Athena pieces together who she is in this universe and why she was brought to it, she starts to suspect that fate had plans for her long before she arrived. I am quite literally playing with real decks to simulate my character's moves in a duel I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. If I did... let's be real, it would be legendary.
