After all, his only goal in life was to become President of the United States and the first step to getting there was being elected student body president of his puny public high school that he didn't even want to be at. Everything after that would be a breeze. His next five years were planned out and everything would go according to those plans as long as nobody fucked it up for him. Josh Dun was only in high school to graduate, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try and have fun while he was there. From skateboarding in the halls to vandalizing teacher bathrooms to receiving (and giving) head in the various janitor's closets. And the one thing he thought was the most fun? Set in 2007, in the neighborhood of Clancy Way, the story explores the rivalry between the Downbeats and the Clique, two teenage street gangs of different family backgrounds. Both gangs vie for dominance of the neighborhood, and the police try to keep order. Joshua Dun, a former Downbeat and older brother of the gang's leader, Jordan Dun, falls in love with Tyler Joseph, the brother of Zack Joseph, the leader of the Clique.
