A traveling circus arrives in the Kou Empire, and they are invited to perform at the palace in honor of the Crown Princess's birthday. During the performance, a blindfolded dancer catches the eye of a certain red-eyed Magi. He demands ownership of the Dancer, determined to make her his new plaything. The Dancer dreams of freedom, but soon finds out that she traded one set of chains for another. As broken hearts come together and fall apart, a small bud of emotion blossoms into love. The journey from hate to love is hard, and someone is determined to stop them at every turn. She can't stand being caged, but he can't bear to let her go. *This story can be read alone, but some aspects will make more sense if you read my other Magi story, The Peace Offering.*

At this point, Sinbad and Judal had given up on finding their soulmates again. Having already without knowing bumped into them a while ago and never knowing who it was they'd decided to just forget about even trying. Judal was Sinbads last guess at a soulmate, given that they'd been enemies since meeting. So you could imagine the surprise on the man's face when Judal showed up on his doorstep one night; Beaten, shivering and spouting incomprehensible words before collapsing on the spot. Anyone with common sense would have turned away somebody who hated them, but Sinbad felt a dull throbbing in his chest that told him he just couldn't bring himself to do that. And then he noticed, the same patches of colour on Judals body as on his own...
