The engine of Jennie's motorbike growled as she cut through the university gates, rainwater still clinging to the tires from the ride over. The campus loomed ahead-too quiet, too open. As she leaned into a turn near the parking lot, a figure suddenly stepped into her path.
"Sh-"
She swerved hard, tires screeching against the pavement as the bike slid just enough to miss him by inches. Jennie slammed her foot down, the engine still rumbling beneath her like a warning. The boy stumbled back, wide-eyed, clearly waiting-expecting an apology.
Instead, Jennie lifted her visor, eyes cold and unbothered.
"Stay out of my way," she snapped, her voice sharp enough to sting.
Without another glance, she rolled forward, steering toward the parking area like nothing had happened.
Behind her, the boy didn't shout. Didn't argue.
He smiled.
A slow, knowing curve of his lips-like he'd been expecting this exact reaction. Rain slid down his jaw as he watched her disappear, eyes dark with interest.
"Interesting..." Heeseung murmured under his breath.
Jennie killed the engine a few rows away, unaware of the gaze still following her-or the feeling creeping up her spine, like she'd just crossed paths with something she wasn't supposed to.
And somehow... it didn't feel like that would be their last collision.
