The class clown, the funny kid, the never shuts up kid. but under that happy, go lucky persona that everyone sees..he's actually going to therapy, taking medication and writing a nutrition log for his doctors. .After his father's funeral..things haven't been the same. his mother is rarely home. always out while his older siblings either work or party. he's the only one who stays home, watches his younger siblings and takes care of everyone.He has too much on his shoulders but once the one boy who he had his eyes on finally talks to him he feels some kind of way. as he helps Richard with this crush. he can tell that something in himself is fixing too.

It's sad to say that tragedy is a normal part of life, but even sadder when it's part of yours. Losing someone can take a lot out of a person, but what happens when someone with worse problems come along? What happens when someone, someone who never knew love or had what you did, comes into your life and shows you a thing or two about yourself that you never knew? And after all the stuff they show you... What would you do to keep them there with you? Mistakes can lead to some very bad things, but they can also lead to a very pleasant, but surprising future... But it's hard to say that everyone chooses the right path, but it's even harder to admit you've done wrong. (not a sad book/ no self harm/ no drugs/ no violence/ no suicide) [exception to chapters 19 and 20]
