A female Toad named Toadette has arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom, and the moment Princess Peach introduces Toad to her, they immediately become best friends, and when Toadsworth and Mario announce an upcoming two-racer go-kart Grand Prix, Toadette becomes Toad's racing partner too! But when a couple of bullies pick on Toadette and feel that she may not be able to be good enough as a racer, she begins to lose hope and give up. Will Toad and the others be able to find a way to encourage Toadette to gain confidence and have faith in herself? Does Toadette truthfully have the heart of a champion like Toad says she does?

Best friends, Victoria Evans and Sky Mitchell, have made a complete list of what they are going to do over the summer. Better yet, they have planned a two week trip to their brand new beach house. But what happens when Victoria's dad drags her along to God knows where on his trip to visit his parents? All of her summer plans are soiled.... What Vic doesn't know, is that they are going to the place where she used to live seven years ago in Bayfield, Wisconsin. That was the place where she had grown up.... But now, she is new and improved.

A darkness settles over Kart Kingdom. Twilight, the infectious mad fairy, is now here! To defeat her, the Friends must find a golden kart, shine it through her darkness, and bring light to the kingdom.
