Kate Bishop does not care for love unless Valentine's comes around and she finds herself longing for something she doesn't understand. How did she find her job, and is Clint still alive? - Michelle remembers...someone. She remembers someone that loved her. She didn't know who it was. She often looks down at her broken black dahila necklace and doesn't remember where she got it. It was her favorite flower because of reasons she didn's disclose to other people. There's a hole in her brain. Not physically, because that would be fatal, but mentally. She knows someone should be there for her. She doesn't know who. She remembers glimpses. Of Spiderman, of all people. Who is Spiderman, and how did this boy named Peter Parker know her initials?

Kate Bishop has been hit in the face with a 'Welcome to the Real World' metaphorical pie following Christmas. The new Hawkeye is trying to learn how to live independently (it's so much work but she's trying really, really hard, she promises!) but realises that the real world is full of professionally shitty people and even shittier situations. Lonely in her newly refurbished flat, Kate finds that perhaps an uninvited visitor might not be the worst thing to happen to her this week. Kate and Yelena learn how to navigate this super fucked up world together, finding friendship in each other and potentially, if they're ready for it, something more.

Kate returns home after spending the holidays with Clint and his family and is welcomed back by a familiar face. Nothing could have prepared her for the emotional turmoil she is soon to go through ... Takes place right after Hawkeye. [Also posted on Ao3]

I have a lot of catching up to do with the MCU, but I've watched WandaVision, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, The Marvels, The Avengers, Thor, Thor Love and Thunder, Spider-man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Endgame, Infinity War, and a few others. But I think I've seen enough to make stories about the characters, one-shots specifically.

The day after Christmas, Kate Bishop finds Yelena Belova sitting across from her once more, eating macaroni and offering a proposition. (And so they were roommates!) But as their relationship develops, Kate and Yelena find that their old enemies have not forgotten them, and that their growing attachment to each other might cost them everything...
