Every year, the tributes fight in the Hunger Games arenas. Every year, the citizens of Panem and the Capital watch. And every year, the mentors have to watch from the mentors room, famed Victors themselves, and almost entirely unable to bring home another Victor. Nobody's ever said that a Victor's life got easier after the games ended.

It's been a year since Katniss went home from the Capitol after the rebellion. She barely sees Haymitch and Peeta, not because she doesn't want to but because she refuses to leave the comfort and safety of her couch. --------- "I'm not letting you push me away anymore." He says, his calmness finally dissipating. "And why not?" I ask frustrated. "Because I can't just sit here and watch you fold into yourself anymore! It's not healthy." "Why do you care? I've been shutting you out for over a year! Why won't you just give up on me already?" "Because you don't give up on the people you love. You didn't give up on me, I'm not giving up on you. You can try and push me away all you want but I'm not going anywhere." That's when the dam finally breaks.

AU. For the Third Quarter Quell, the Capitol decrees that those who aged out of the reaping since the previous Hunger Games will be thrown back into the pool-with no volunteers allowed. When her sister and her best friend are chosen, Katniss is left behind. Unable to protect the people she loves with a bow or a sacrifice of her own, Katniss must learn that sometimes surviving means trusting others to carry the burden-and finding the courage to keep living herself.

Katniss has been confined to District 12 after the war and is more broken than ever. When she's given one chance to go back in time and change the moments that shattered her heart, she takes it. The games are over. So what comes next? The story of Peeta and Katniss finding their way back to one another and putting back the pieces that the games took from them (For anyone, like me, who needs a little extra closure after reading the hunger games trilogy AGAIN hehe)

This is my written version of what I hope happens at the end of MockingJay (including all details from MockingJay's epilogue) I see many fanfics that are "cheesy" or poorly written, and I hope that you enjoy what I plan on writing. Prim still lives in twelve but visits Cinna in the Capitol everyday except on reaping days, snow won't let her, luckily she was never picked but her luck soon runs out when
