He'd expected her to say friends, or to at least settle on allies, but her real response was a fist to the gut. "Was Jordie just an investment to you too, Kaz?" Kaz went still. Inej's eyes widened slowly in realization. "Kaz, I-" she started. "No," Kaz murmured, "My brother was not an investment." "I didn't mean-" "-And I lost him," he snapped his gaze to her with sudden force, "But you know what I don't lose, Wraith? I don't lose on my investments. I always invest wisely. I always read the market. And I always turn a profit. I intend to do just that."

In this world, everyone is born with a timer on their wrist, saying when they'll get to meet their soulmate. Hours and minutes before the meeting. It might take months, or it might take years. Some people base their whole life on when the timer might run out. Inej Ghafa's soulmate timer shows 00:00. Has always, as far as she can remember. 0 hours, 0 minutes. This can only mean one thing: She's already met her soulmate. Problem is, she doesn't remember it. And she won't know if she meets them again.

"I can't get his face out of my head," Nina grabbed her knees and cried. "I wouldn't either," Kaz said, "No, not when he died. For the last two weeks I've seen him. In Hell. The plaything of... a Man in Black." She gulped. "What?" "Matthias was a man of his faith, how could he go to Hell," she said to herself. "The man. He reminded me of the Darkling." A story about Kaz pulling off the greatest heist ever. Stealing a soul from the afterlife.

While that may be true when concerning yourself, to have an ignorant nation is to have no nation at all. That is why I have never stayed still. Due to a series of unfortunate events, she ends up in East Ravka where she grows up with Alina Starkov and Malyen Oretsev, but her longing for her home never goes away. When a person from her past finds her by happenstance, the truth is revealed and she wonders if she should ever return home. But she is so much more than she allows the rest of the world to see. Kaz "Dirtyhands" Brekker, the Bastard of the Barrel, is a cold man driven by the notion of revenge. At least, that is what all of Ketterdam believes. But when an opportunity worth 1 million kruge presents itself, Kaz finds himself at an unpleasant crossroads where his past and his thirst for vengeance meet. And swearing. so, this is the story of Kaz's baby sister Keira, who got lost when Jordie *you know* and after that, Keira has been found by someone at the reaper's barge who takes her in but the next day she ran away in hopes of finding Kaz. But will she find her brother in the chaos of ketterdam and maybe love?

There were three things in the world Kaz Brekker needed in his life: Revenge, Kruge and Inej Ghafa. At least that's what he thought. Because one night his life turned upside down, when a loudmouthed girl came his way, jamming into his life like she owned the Crow Club. Zephyra Oretsev couldn't ever imagine being part of Ketterdam's most feared criminals, but fate can be a funny little thing. She considered herself a casual teenager, trying to find her purpose in life, but she found something more along the way. The one thing she thought she would never have. A family. A/N: I haven't read Six of Crows yet, so everything in this story is based off of Netflix's show Shadow and Bone and my imagination. I don't own any of these characters, except for Zephyra, and I aged up the Crows a little, so they're in their early 20s. Also, english isn't my first language, so sorry for any grammatical issues.
