Varian loves his job as Royal Engineer of Corona. However, he wished that he had friends his age, and he wants to explore more of what the world has to offer outside of the kingdom itself. Maybe it'll help get him out of this rut he's in with his latest project. Vex loves being Vardaros' deputy. Although, she does want some freedom as a normal teenager every now and then. But when Captain Quaid said that he'll be sending her to visit Corona, she's less than thrilled about being stuck in a kingdom full of sunshine and rainbows for who knows how long. When the two teenagers met for the first time, they didn't think that they would be friends due to their clashing personalities...until they stumbled upon a map that would lead them to caves that contain unique crystals that have special magic. However, as they discover more about the origins of the caves, someone wants the crystals for themselves. Can Varian and Vex stop the thief before it's too late?

!IMPORTANT! As flattered as I am by those who enjoy this series, I have no intention of finishing it. This project needs some serious editing before I even consider continuing it, but I feel the plot is degenerate and my writing is far too purple.
