Kion, leader of the Lion Guard, has grown up a member of the royal family all his life. "Kion, son of Simba and Nala" is a title he's used to hearing. Little does he know, a long time ago, his mother had a friend, a very close friend... This friend had been in a forbidden romance with a lion from another pride who she was unable to be with any longer, but not before conceiving a cub... a cub she couldn't raise. This friend gave up the cub to Nala, and Nala agreed to raise him as her own and tell everyone that she was its mother.
