It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother. Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him." In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath. (They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)

Talk. What more was there too say, people had warned him of Lance. So many had told him that he was a Playboy moving from person to person as he found the next new thing, Keith was naive he had dismissed them simply labeling them as jealous, now he sees that they were right. He knew Lance was capable of many things he was confident and strong but he never thought he would do this. "What do you want me to say Lance?" Laces eyes shooting up to meet Keith's, both on the verge of completely breaking down.

And in some kind of ironic and twisted way, they ended up back in the Garrison. Lance had put his mind onto graduating, getting his degree and following the path of becoming a serious professor, putting use of his past war trauma and experience to help forming generations preventing past mistakes and failures, maintaining the galactic peace they had lost so much for, fought so much for. That's how they ended up as being 'just' some generic teachers at the most serious military school in America. Lance and Keith, teachers at the Garrison, are trying their best to teach their students, gaining their degrees and working on building a steady life. But right now, Keith is getting sick and is denying any type of rest and instead keeps on pushing through.
