Reading The Selection, I felt that Kriss needed her own story told. She had so much to say. She was calm, kind, and regal. As Kiera Cass stated, Maxon would have married Kriss if the massacre didn't happen. Many readers didn't like her, but she is a human and makes mistakes just like anybody else would. This is the Selection from Kriss's perspective and how she dealt with heartbreak and eventually finds her happily ever after.

We were getting closer, and closer, and closer. . . Suddenly, the arms around my waist disappeared. I opened my eyes, only to see the orchestra gone and America playing the violin instead. Maxon was right in front of her, with an adoring smile on his face. She stopped playing, and pulled Maxon down for the kiss that I lost. I screamed.
