In this story there is a new girl (Claire) that just moved into Castle Rock the summer before 6th grade. She is the same age as the boys in the gang, and she has no interest in hanging out with the girls of the town. So Claire tries making friends and runs into this interesting group of boys. For anyone who hasn't read "The Body." Written by Stephen King; the book that "Stand By Me." is based off of.. there are parts of this story that are referring to the book. If I think anyone would be confused, I'll put notes at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy!

Marci LaChance, the 16 year old younger sister of Gordie LaChance (who is now a senior at Castle Rock High) battles through her last two years at high school and struggles to define her relationship with her brothers best friend (Chris Chambers) before he leaves Castle Rock after graduation. With her brother and the rest of the gang Marci finds adventure, love, and freedom.
