Seventeen-year-old Dakota "Kody" Snyder has just moved to a new town in a new state, having to leave behind all of her childhood friends in order to keep her and her mother safe from the dangerous secret she left behind. But moving isn't all bad, especially when your new neighbor is a smoking hot seventeen-year-old with an Irish accent named Oliver Quinn. As Kody evolves to her new life in California, making new friends and becoming closer to Oliver, she finally starts to feel like things can be normal again. A group of 6 friends, two at the conservatory and the other four still in highschool, almost comes apart after one of them has difficulties understanding his emotions. But thanks to his passion for singing he writes his emotions as lyrics and finally understands how to manage them and to maintain the peace in their friends group.
