Lilly's been ordered to clean and dust the secretary's office by, obviously, her employer, Mr Ambrose. Lilly is not happy with his orders. As always, Mr Ambrose couldn't care less about it. And as always, Lilly's going to make him care. Question is, what and how will she do it? ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ This story has been specially written for the 'A Storm of Fanfiction' writing contest. I had never actually planned on writing a Storm&Silence fanfic as I believed- and still do, I couldn't recreate the magic of Sir Rob's writing skills. But I really wanted to take part in the contest and so here I am. P.s. The story does not have mature contents, but might not be completely appropriate for less-than-13. Sorry. This is a full length fanfic story inspired by the fabulous Storm & Silence books by @RobThier - most of the characters remain the intellectual property of Rob Thier apart from a few that came from my own imagination. You really need to have read at least the first book of the series ('Storm & Silence') to fully understand the background to this story... and if you haven't read it, WHY NOT?! Rikkard Ambrose, granite faced miser and richest man in the British Empire, has fallen for the woman he makes dress as a man called Victor so she can be employed as his personal secretary every day. She is Miss Lillian Linton, a fiery feminist who craves freedom, independence and female equality, but also finds herself attracted to adventure and the human iceberg that pays her wages. To complicate matters, Ambrose's nemesis and business rival Lord Daniel Eugene Dalgliesh has threatened to harm any woman that he ever forms an attachment to ... and he's getting very suspicious about the relationship between Ambrose, his secretary Mr Victor Linton and the secretary's 'twin sister' Lillian. Then Ambrose discovers that Dalgliesh is hunting for a long lost treasure that many believe to be a myth. But Ambrose knows that it is no myth and is utterly priceless, so decides that he has to beat his rival to the prize - especially as it seems that the treasure may not be as far away as everyone suspects. Along the way new friendships will be formed, fears will be faced, lives will be lost and nerves will be tested. Will Ambrose beat his arch enemy to the treasure and can he keep the one that he's already found (Lilly) safe and alive? Will Dalgliesh discover the truth about our two favourite Victorian adventurers? Who is the new man in Lilly's life and who is the seemingly friendly little old lady that keeps popping up everywhere?

One 19 year old ifrit named Lillian Linton has managed to breach his formerly in penetrable defenses and bring light into the depths of his dark life. The night was dangerous. The roaring thunder, piercing lightning, stormy wind and excessive rainfall did nothing but made the night all the more dangerous. But I wasn't scared of the night, I was scared of the thing that engulfed me right now. No, no, not the darkness but those two familiar arms holding me firmly. I was scared of the feeling they evoked into me. Scared of the butterflies fluttering inside my stomach. Scared of the goosebumps invading my body. Of the heart beating louder than it should be. And somehow they made me feel the feeling I shouldn't feel in the presence of a man, more importantly because of the presence of a man, this man ,his presence comforted me. He made me feel comforted. He made me feel sound and safe. Damn him!

"Lillian , love ,Please say yes, Please say you will marry me " pleaded a kneeling Capitan Carter shoving again and again a box of dark chocolates and a ring onto my face knowing very well I love dark chocolate . Blast him ! I can still picture my aunt's face when she yelled at me not more than a hour ago " Get Ready Lillian , No escaping this time ! You are going to behave as a proper lady and marry Lord Dangleish and that is final " I was stuck in this horrendous situation . So, I did the only thing I can . I ran . But the consequences for running away from the situation followed and I did the only thing I could think of ... Courting a man , after all I am a feminist , but let me tell you , putting away my female ego aside for a minute , it was not easy courting Mr.Rikkard Ambrose , not at all . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey , So This is my submission for the competition , All the characters in my fanfic have same attitude and behavior as in Sir Rob Their stories but yeah Imagine Lillian never went out for elections never met Ambrose and Lord Dangleish but went to ball and met Capitan Carter that same old story without Ambrose in picture !

Storm and Silence there aren't enough words to describe how amazing the book is in general. They also can't stop getting better and better as the sequel In The Eye Of The Storm was amazing and the current Silence Is Golden is just so mind blowingly brilliant. I can't sing these books praises long enough. I'm also in love with all the fanfiction the fandom provides. I kid you not they are just so amazing! I've read loads of them too many to count. So hell I will try my own hand at writing a Lambrose fanfiction. Why not? 'Because I love you, you arrogant son of a bachelor' I huffed. Wait What? Did I just say what I think I just said? No. That's impossible, feminists don't go around telling chauvinistic bastards that they love them. So why was my heart racing? I dared to look up at his hard, stony face, and I was met with undeniable silence. 'Well, say something' I demanded. Silence.

Ok.. So this is a Storm and Silence one shot. The characters are not created by me, but by the greatest author SirRob. I'm sorry if I didn't portray them correctly... It's the first time I've experimented with them. But, enjoy! I suppose..
