Peridot has already started school off on the wrong foot and her half brother Jasper hates her. Lapis Lazuli loves the ocean and everything to do with it. These two highschool students meet and things start to look up for Peridot. The art does not belong to me except for the cover.

The battle for Lapis's life has ended-or so it seems-and things are back to being semi-normal for her. She is enjoying her life with Peridot and the rest of the pack, but then she starts to notice things. Red eyes watching her from afar, glaring at her, begging for her to come near. Something tells her that the battle isn't over after all. Peridot remains vigilant as she always has, despite Lapis's assurance that it's all over. As confident as she may be, she begins to learn that she does, indeed, have more to learn about her imprint. When things start to appear in Lapis's vision, it doesn't appear to be so safe anymore. With Steven going on a self discovery journey many of the gems near little homeworld didn't know what was coming up next for them. Two of those gems were Lapis and Peridot, while Lapis wanted to make sure that the new gems living on little homeworld were prepared for life on Earth. Peridot had been dealing with serious mental issues, which would eventually lead to a disaster that only Lapis could fix. Peridot and Lapis have officially been members of the Crystal Gems for quite some time now (Congrats Peri you found out where to put the star lol). But despite their new found freedom and happiness, it seems as though Lapis' past is still haunting her through continuous nightmares every single night. Peridot decides to help Lapis overcome her fears of the past, but will she turn out to be the answer Lapis is looking for? ~*~ I was so worried about Lapis, for some time it seemed like she was really getting better. But it was nice to have someone who knew what I was going through, who understood what it felt like to have no home to go to. I am a writer, but this is my first fan fic. Lapidot is my otp, so i wanted to write one focused on them. Then I had this idea for an episode. i posted my idea to amino and tons of people replied asking this to be made into a fan fic. i like fics that are plausible in the canon, so i tried to write this as "realistically" as possible in the show's canon, therefore the lapidot isnt explicitly romantic, but it has tons of implications and CUTE moments that i would love to see in the show's canon. It takes place a month after Reunited, and i dont know what will happen yet after Legs from Here to Homeworld, so theres little to no mention of Steven's homeworld adventure. I might edit this after the whole white diamond arc ends to be more acurate. I hope you enjoy!

I know it's for drawing and I know the prompt list is from 2017 AND for October, but I thought that I'd do a Steven Universe themed oneshot a day for this month. Most of it'll probably be hurt/comfort so look forward to that I guess.
