And then it got even worse when she was chosen to be in the Hunger Games. She was the bender from District 4, and the nonbender that got chosen was - get this - her brother, Sokka. Their lives couldn't get any better, right? When they made it to the Capitol, they realized how unskilled they were. Most of the other people had an unfair advantage to the Games - they had been training for it their whole lives. Katara was terrified of the Games. However, there was a certain anger growing in her. She wouldn't die in the Games. No, she would live just to spite everyone who doubted her. That spite spurred her through the Games. It gave her the drive to take care of the kid from District 10 who was also doubted. It gave her the drive to go along with the uprising, to storm the Capitol at nightfall. Katara just didn't think the sun would rise in the morning.

This story isn't just an example, but represents a personal and emotional principle, useful for understanding how to handle a similar situation and, above all, how people with this disorder might feel. A very different story from the usual. I hope it can be useful for you in managing people like me, who have this learning disability, but above all, to offer extra support to all those who are experiencing the same situation as me. I want to tell all kids with a learning disability to be strong and not to let themselves get down if they are like me. Don't consider it a flaw, but a virtue; you must face this reality together, not alone.
