This is a meant as a study of "what would have to happen to set R on a better life path" and you can see I have a lot of feelings on the matter. Not only the alcohol addiction stands in Grantaire's way of making something of his life - his view of the world, his obsession with Enj and his own struggles with mental health are also important factors.
