Napagdesisyunan ni Kiana na libangin ang kanyang sarili nang hindi makaramdam ng antok. Ngunit sa kanyang pagbangon ay nakita nya ang isa sa kanyang mga paboritong libro. Alam na niya ang lahat ng nilalaman ng bawat pahina dahil halos araw-araw niya itong binabasa. Naramdaman niya ang bawat hinagpis, saya, lungkot at tuwa sa tuwing nailalarawan na niya ang mga pangyayari sa kaniyang isipan. Isa lamang iyan sa mga hilig ni Kiana, ang pagbabasa ng libro.
