Sunghoon thought he had friends, until the truth proved otherwise.
Their loyalty was an act, their promises empty. He wasn always the joke, never the priority.
Too proud to break in front of them, he leaves, and never returned.
As the years passes, he found himself storming into a quiet café after school. There he meets Sunoo, a boy glowing with unfamiliar warmth - iced drink in hand, scribbling in a notebook like pain hasn't reached him.
They speak only briefly, accidental meeting, small conversation, but it leaves a mark Sunghoon can't shake. Sunoo doesn't push, doesn't pry - he simply shares a moment of calm that feels oddly sincere.
One encounter leads to another, and through Sunoo, Sunghoon is introduced to someone he swore he'd never face again:
A liar.
The one thing he hates most.
The very thing that broke his trust.
But now the liar stands before him - not a memory, but real, breathing, and disturbingly tied to the same thread of connection Sunoo had handed him without knowing.
Sunghoon thought betrayal was his ending.
He was wrong - it was the start.
