THE DAY AFTER THE FINISH LINE I thought life would begin the moment I graduated. Like everything would finally make sense. For years, I followed the rules. Study hard. Get good grades. Make your family proud. And I did. I was the student teachers praised. The one who knew the answers. The one who believed that if I just kept going, life would reward me with clarity. But no one warned me about what comes after the applause. No one told me that the real world doesn't hand out instructions. That there are no rubrics for decisions. No deadlines to chase. No guaranteed results for effort. Just silence. And questions no one taught me how to answer. What job should I take? What if I choose wrong? Why does everyone else seem to know what they're doing? Why don't I? At 23, I found myself stuck in a space I never prepared for- not failing, but not moving either, not lost enough to give up, but not sure enough to move forward. Somewhere between who I used to be and who I'm supposed to become. This book is not a guide. It's not written by someone who has everything figured out. This is for the ones who did everything right- and still feel unprepared. For those who went from being "the smart one" to quietly wondering what went wrong. For the ones who are trying, failing, learning, and pretending they're okay. It's a constant reminder that it's okay not to move at the same pace with others-a reminder that it's okay, maybe not now, but soon. This is for us- the ones still figuring it out. And maybe... that's not failure. Maybe this in-between- this confusion, this waiting, this questioning- is where real life actually begins. Not at the finish line, but the day after it.

Ronnie Thuney has spent the last six years perfecting the art of being invisible. As a brilliant but completely overlooked data analyst on the twelfth floor of the Mercer Building, he believes his only value is his utility. To survive the crushing silence of his meticulously organized, lonely life, Ronnie fixates on Klaire-the sharp, formidable, entirely unattainable executive across the aisle who he secretly believes is the only person who can fix him. But you can't logic someone into loving you, and you can't put self-worth into a spreadsheet. When the architecture of Ronnie's carefully managed life violently collapses under the weight of corporate burnout and an unrequited confession, he realizes he isn't just broken-he's fading away entirely. Enter Ella. With her messy red canvas sneakers, her chaotic, warm apartment, and a fierce, unapologetic demand for honesty, Ella refuses to let Ronnie be a ghost. While he was busy looking across the aisle for salvation, she was the one noticing his pain. She doesn't want the perfect, efficient machine he tries to be; she just wants him to finally wake up and live. People Like Us is a deeply emotional, slow-burn story about dismantling the walls we build to protect ourselves. It's a novel about the terrifying difference between surviving and occupying space, the profound gravity of true friendships, and learning how to be loved in the loud, messy, beautiful chaos of reality.

They met at fifteen, in a classroom that smelled like floor wax and unfinished dreams, when life was still measured by homework, shared lunches, and 160-character text messages. What started as an ordinary high school friendship slowly became the kind of love that grows quietly-through college applications, late-night calls, first jobs, and the uncertain steps into adulthood. Years passed, seasons changed, and somehow, they kept choosing each other through every version of who they were becoming. But growing up means learning that love doesn't always end where you expect it to. From crowded school hallways to the weight of real-life decisions, this is a story about time, memory, and the people who shape us long before we understand what forever really means. Because sometimes, the person you build your whole life around is the one who teaches you how to start again.

Hi, I'm Aeris Valen. I've lived my life somewhere between feelings, between people, between who I thought I was supposed to be and who I really am. This is the story of my first crush, my first heartbreak, and every confusing, beautiful moment in between. From childhood friendships that felt like home, to the unexpected sparks of admiration, to discovering feelings I didn't even know I could have... I've learned that love isn't always obvious, and identity isn't always simple. Through fleeting crushes, long-distance heartbreaks, same-gender attractions, and the quiet discovery of myself, I've realized that sometimes life isn't about choosing all or nothing-it's about learning to live in the spaces in between. Something Between Everything is for anyone who has ever loved, lost, questioned, or wondered who they really are. It's a story of growing up, finding yourself, and learning that it's okay not to have everything figured out-because sometimes, being in between is exactly where you're meant to be.

What do you do when the world expects you to have it all figured out, but you're still learning who you are? First Steps Into the Unknown is a collection of raw, heartfelt poems that capture the messy, beautiful journey of early adulthood-a time when the road ahead feels uncertain, but the desire to find yourself is stronger than ever. These poems explore graduation, self-doubt, broken expectations, and the complex, sometimes confusing world of relationships and dating. In your early 20s, you're expected to know what's next, but what happens when you don't? They reflect on that uncertain time, when the future seemed unclear, and your own worth was something you had to learn to define. From the crushing weight of societal pressure to the quiet strength that comes from learning to trust yourself-and to navigate connections with others-these poems explore what it means to take the first step, even when you don't know where you're going. It's about the courage to embrace the unknown and let go of everything that doesn't serve you. This is for anyone who's ever felt lost, unsure, or just trying to figure it out. It's for anyone who's ever dared to move forward when they didn't know what they were moving toward. Because the first step isn't about the destination-it's about trusting yourself to keep going.

My journey after high school was far from perfect. I had good grades, but I wasted my potential. I was distracted, playing around, and not taking my future seriously. At some point, reality hit me. I needed direction. I decided to study in Northern Cyprus-but COVID changed everything. I got stuck in Istanbul for six months with my brother. Mentally, it was one of the hardest periods of my life. I felt lost and just wanted to return to Morocco and be with my family. I was exhausted and had no clear way out. I was also living in a dangerous area. One day, around 30 men approached me with sticks, looking for someone. They asked if I was Egyptian. I said I was Moroccan-and they left. Just like that. After months of being stuck, I searched for a way back. I found a risky route: fly to Senegal, then try to reach Morocco. I took the risk. In Dakar, things were difficult. Nothing was easy, and I felt out of place. But instead of breaking, I changed my mindset. I stayed for a few days, explored, and learned to appreciate what I had. That experience taught me gratitude. Eventually, I returned to Istanbul, then finally made it back to Morocco. That's when I got serious. I started dentistry studies in Northern Cyprus first online, then on campus. This time, I stayed focused. No distractions. No excuses. Year after year, I kept going. In 2025, I graduated. I became a dentist. The journey wasn't perfect. I made mistakes, felt lost, and faced uncertainty. But I never stopped. And that made all the difference.

What happens when the man holding everything together starts to break? Eli has been carrying the weight of a family since he was a boy: bills, responsibilities, silence. No one asked him to become the man of the house, but someone had to. So he did. Until the night he leaves. With nothing but a backpack, a one-way ticket, and questions he doesn't know how to ask, Eli steps into a world where survival is no longer enough. Somewhere between responsibility and identity... something is missing. And he's not the only one. From quiet bus stations to city streets filled with unseen struggles, Ashes of Adam explores the hidden fracture in modern men-the absence no one talks about, the silence no one names, and the cost of building a life without a foundation. This isn't just a story about leaving. It's about what happens after. It's about what a man becomes when he was never shown how.
