Shawn Winston Lavallez has mastered the art of survival-hiding bruises behind forced smiles, carrying the weight of a broken home, and keeping his secrets buried beneath a carefully built facade. At school, he blends into the noise of friendships and laughter, but deep inside, he is haunted by the past and terrified of being exposed. Everything changes when he crosses paths with April Gelonga-bright, composed, and seemingly untouchable. Their worlds couldn't be more different, yet fate ties them together through an unexpected project that slowly unravels the walls Shawn has built. But in a life where pain lurks behind every door, can Shawn find peace, faith, and love-or will his secrets consume him before he discovers that he was never meant to face the darkness alone? A story of scars, survival, and second chances, this novel explores how even the most broken hearts can still learn to love and be loved.

25 saal ki zindagi... aur ek bhi jeet nahi. Career ho, paise ho, ya rishte... har jagah sirf haar. Parvati - jise sab pyaar se Paro bulate the - apni hi nazron mein gir chuki thi. Usse lagta tha woh sirf dard deti hai... Jo usse umeed rakhte hain, unhe hurt karti hai... Aur jo umeed nahi rakhte, unke liye woh bas ek aur nakaam insaan hai. Na woh dharti par bojh banna chahti thi... Na apno ki zindagi mein ek aur wajah dard ki. Isliye, darr ke bawajood... aansuon ke saath... Usne apni kahani khatam karne ka faisla kar liya. "Kuch pal ka dard hoga... phir sab theek ho jayega..." Lekin us raat, jab woh apni zindagi se haar maan chuki thi... Kisi ne uska haath pakad liya. "Yeh kya kar rahi ho tum... aur kyun?" Woh thi Saumya - ya Sumi - ek anjaan ladki, par shayad us raat ki sabse zaroori wajah. "Jaan dena solution nahi hota... kya pata tum na maro, sirf toot jao aur zyada dard mile?" Paro chup thi... haar chuki thi. Tab Sumi ne halka sa muskura kar kaha - "Jab tak hai jaan... tab tak hai chance." "Ek baar aur try karo... sirf ek baar. Agar phir bhi kuch na badla... phir jo tum chaho." Ek anjaan ladki ki baat... Ek rukta hua kadam... Ek last chance. Kya Paro zindagi ko ek aur mauka degi? Ya yeh sirf uski kahani ka thoda sa delayed end hai...

The room reeks of wealth, connections, and opportunity-things he doesn't have. As names are called and others move ahead, Marcus struggles to keep hope alive. Each rejection chips away at him, his certificates and hard work feeling meaningless. When the man in the suit finally announces that the company has found the candidate they were looking for, Marcus' frustration boils over. Something about relating to others always makes my heart beat faster. I kind of like it though because I feel less alone. You feel me? Anyways, this is just a collection of stories and thoughts, like a completely random journal you just happened to find lying around. It's a way for me to talk and a way for someone to listen and hopefully relate to my struggles. So yeah. :D ~Disclaimer~ This could get very emotional and triggering or possibly completely stupid and full of jokes. It really depends on how I'm feeling. It's all being written on a whim so bare with me :D ~LR

For me, writing poetry has always been a process of self-renaming. Not something I do every day, yet when the words finally come, it feels like that long-lost friend coming to visit. Here is my return to self-expression, an action I began as a child full of wonder and adventure. But life has taken me down some difficult paths. Diagnosed with major depression and psychosis, most of the time I felt completely detached from my old self. Recently, reading over some of the things I wrote as a child, I felt again a flicker of the person I had been-a girl whose world was open to her eyes and heart, ready to be rediscovered. This book, in so many ways, is a reflection of that lost girl and a testament to my journey of self-recovery and healing continued to this day. Through these poems, I want to reach out to her-to whoever else may feel lost-to tell her that we are still here, waiting to be found.
