Simula pagkabata, nakasanayan ko nang maging una. Sa klase, sa mga kompetisyon, at sa kahit anong bagay na pinaghihirapan ko, lagi kong nakikita ang pangalan ko sa itaas. I worked hard for every achievement I had. Hindi ako gumamit ng iba o humingi ng pabor para lang makarating doon. It's not pure luck. I earned it. Kaya nang makita kong pangalawa na lang ako, hindi ko alam kung paano tatanggapin iyon. Para sa iba, achievement pa rin ang maging Top 2. Pero para sa akin? It felt like losing. Maybe I'm too competitive. Maybe I've put too much of my worth into being the best. But one thing is certain-I'm not going to stay second. Because if I have to work twice as hard to get my place back, then so be it. At least, that was the plan. Until college decided to give me something I never studied for.

Sometimes, our thoughts can be overbearing with all of the negativity and doubt towards ourselves and things around us. But I believe that even though the negative will come, our thoughts should be as positive as possible. This book is a collaboration of my own thoughts on the positive things in life and in ourselves, and also on things that we should improve or ponder about. I hope this helps you to feel good about yourself and that it serves as a reminder about all of the lovely things in life and ourselves! I also want this to be able to leave you thinking of ways that you - as an individual - can help improve this broken world. :)

Seventeen year old Alice Crosby was killed under suspicious circumstances. She was buried the day after her death, and is now forced to roam the dismal cemetery day after day and night after night. She receives no rest, and will not until her killer is caught. But her family doesn't care about Alice anymore. The only one to visit her is the old man who opens and locks up the graveyard everyday. He can't see her, but she watches over him. But when Alice starts witnessing some peculiar events, she is led to believe that whomever murdered her is now after the old man. Can she discover her killer AND save the old man's life?

The novel, titled "Hold My Hand" tells the story of a 14-year-old girl from Tbilisi, (Georgia) Mary, whose life changes radically when a new student, Gabriel, is added to her class, who has completely lost his sight due to a severe disease. Despite the efforts of the detail-observant and thoughtful main character to act with her mind and face his emotions firmly, distant dreams, an unusual friendship with a new classmate, his pain, severe character, unexpected news, and unclear feelings turn Mary's life upside down, as if this "someone" is unquestioningly spreading its hands in her soul, as if this stranger knows everything even about the darkest secrets about Mary... Maybe this "someone" is not a stranger to the main character? Moreover, maybe he has known her for a long time? - This question and the invisible connection with Gabriel disturb the main character, who tries, regardless of many difficulties, to show her new friend again, despite the pain, how beautiful life can be.

This is just some quotes and a few things that I just want to share with others.Life isn't easy,that's no lie but you wanna know what the true meaning of beautiful is?Life.Times are tough,we've experienced so much and yet we feel so alone no matter what,you think theres no one out there but in reality,there are so many people out that that would risk their lives just for you to live yours on.Just know that theres someone out there and always feel free to talk about it.
