Struck by Lightning is an anthology featuring works that span several years of my life. Some are new and fresh, some I wrote or first conceived of several years ago. Most stories will feature elements of cosmic horror while some stay a little more grounded. Though all will delve into elements of the fantastical, mystical or scary. Some of the stories are inspired by other works, mostly video games like Rimworld or Escape from Tarkov and convey my love and admiration for them. Ryo's story part 3

This series is an homage/parody of the video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. As such, it all takes place on an alternate Earth -- better known as Immobi. This wicked wild world is home to a variety of anthropomorphic animals, including two 19-year-olds in particular. There's the good-sported, itchy-footed, and quick-witted Umeme Cheetah. Then there's the cocky, carefree, and foolhardy Radi O. Peregrine. The two are best buds who not only share a brotherly bond, but a need for speed as well. Hence their names (translated in Swahili) these two Immobians wield the power of electrokinesis. Pretty self-explanatory, but they're able to generate high amounts of electricity within their bodies -- allowing them to perform various tricks and techniques. The most prominent being to run -- or in the latter's case, fly -- at literal lightning speed. With it, our duo races across the vast African continent, if not beyond, in search of thrill and danger. Be it open plains, dense jungles, scorching deserts, or etc. etc. -- these sparking speedsters will certainly be there in a flash. Throughout their adventures, Umeme and Radi will come across various characters -- both friend and foe alike. With their most frequent foes being monstrous entities known as Nightmares. Created from a currently anonymous source, each kind varies from shape and size -- yet shares a common goal to wreak total chaos. While these Nightmares are determined to do so wherever they go, both cheetah and peregrine are determined to stop them in their tracks. So don't blink -- 'cuz if you ever see two streaks speed by, you can bet one hell of a storm's a brewin'.

There's been some controversy on whether a Cars 4 is actually coming out, so regardless of whether it does or not, I'm writing my own, bc I know a lot of us aren't too happy with how Cars 3 ended, so I'm going to try and smooth it out. Writing out complicated feelings is my business. In the aftermath of changing his career, Lightning thinks everything is on the right track after days of agonizing uncertainty. But deep inside, he isn't ready to let go yet, and the light of his mistakes, recent and long ago, seems unwilling to let him be. Familiar faces clash as Lightning tries to set himself straight once and for all, moving forward with his life and finding contentment in what he has now. In spite of what was taken from him.

An alternate Cars 2, of which I'm surprised there aren't more of, in which Lightning is mistaken for the American spy instead of Mater. NOT humanized. I WILL make it work. Things aren't going so smoothly at the beginning of the World Grand Prix. But they are about to get bumpier. Lightning's track career is jeopardized when he finds himself at the center of an international espionage that threatens his, the racers, and his closest friend's lives! For all his speed and skill, can just a racecar step up to the challenge?

Before you ask, no, this is not a fanfic where the main character/friends get struck by lightning and get transported to another world. It's simply called this because that's what the main character's (Shuurai) name means. Plus I've got no idea how to write descriptions, so simply... enjoy! By the way, this isn't a love story, and I have no plans to make it one. Shuurai and Sasuke are best friends. Also, read the Author's Notes.
