In the fall of 1921, Valerie Sigrid fled from her home country of Odin to the isolated city of Nastrond, Helheim, where nothing comes cheap and kindness is a labor, not a virtue. She spends her days there lonely and constantly agonizing over the past- until she meets Lance and Lila Hundingsbane, two siblings struggling to make ends meet. Although she finds refuge in them, times are getting tougher by the day in Nastrond. Valerie wrestles with her morality. Desperation calls on all three of them to do things that both protect their livelihoods and put them at risk. And meanwhile, the Odish president's daughter has gone missing. Note: Although not particularly spicy, this story does contain mature themes and moderate sexual content

Mark Twain once wrote, "Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand." He's right; humor is one way to deal with Donald Trump. But we also need a fictional hero with moral authority to challenge Trump's lack of ethics. Therefore, like Twain's Connecticut Yankee, I went back in time, to 6th century England, and found one. Two, actually. Note to the reader... WAIT FOR IT! Changing human ethics isn't done quickly. Plus, I'd like to have a little fun along the way. So we've got some world building to do and a lot of character development. You'll LOVE Eilidh, she's one hell of a woman. Other than my main characters, Marcus is my favorite. But once Viviane arrives on the scene, the plot thickens and thickens some more. OOOOhhh, it gets really good. So, by the end... well, I don't want to ruin it for you. Let's just say, with this scene stuck in your head, you'll never watch golf with a straight face, ever again.
