It, had all started with a quest, to find the hallowed sanctuary spoken of, within the dreams of five individuals. Aederan, a world of green forests and deep blue oceans would soon be under the threat of war, from the forces of darkness. The fate of the world, rests with a girl, a prince, a princess, a swordsman, a Centaur and seven others. For, it was decided seven friends would accompany, the chosen ones. It was assumed the journey would be lengthy and perilous. It wasn't till later, before the brave adventurers grasped how much of an understatement, those words would be. Despite perilous weather, endless pursuit and numerous attempts by the enemy to destroy them, most of the original twelve had managed to survive. Berren alone, of the original twelve had fallen in the attempt. Through the combined efforts of humansU, Centaurs, the newly discovered Dreena, and lastly were the Chand, they had prevailed. Albeit, the price paid by their newbuy allies and friends had been high. Changa pondered for a moment what they had faced and their subsequent actions. The Centaur Wind Walker smiled, as he realized Elliana was providing them with exactly what they needed to complete the quest and prepare for war.

It all started in the city of Halifax. My home town. Six people were rushed to the hospital with a virus nobody had ever seen before. One of the attending nurses got bit by a patient, starting a chain reaction- a domino effect. Now, three months later, myself and a group of other survivors are on the run from the aftermath. I've killed more zombies than I could ever count, and I don't intend to stop until this is all over.

It's the year 2020 and the apocalypse has come too soon. With zombies on their a** you'd think that the human race would stick together to protect what's left of their existence right? Wrong. With colonies that were already made no one else is allowed in or out, those who try will die and those who don't... well, they die too. After all, how long can a human possibly survive by themselves when there are living dead out to eat you? So far, Peyton's lasted just over a year. But that was when she was alone and independent. Now she has to deal with a little 8 year old too stubborn for her own good, an arrogant 25 year old who has the life skills of a child and a 19 year old guy who has mood-swings worse than a girl on her rags.

"I'll get the door." I said as I turned off the stove. When I opened the door there was no one outside. "Ugh, these kids," I said to myself, closed the door and came back. The moment I closed the door there was a loud thud on the door. The thud was so loud that it made me and Lila, in the living room, jump. "Hey, there is something going on. The news says-" Lila was cut off by my scream. I looked through the peephole, what I saw was unthinkable.

I remember the day I first heard of them. I was driving my van with my mother in the passenger seat. The news channel was playing over the radio. The current story was suddenly cut off and a man's voice crackled over the speakers: "We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news," He began. "A new disease is spreading rapidly all over the world and infecting humans. Nobody is sure what it is; but we know one thing, It was stolen." A new voice came over the radio. "Hello, citizens of California! I'm here with Nicole Bradson, the leading researcher in Virus Studies at Baily University." The man said. "Would you like to tell us about this strange new epidemic?" A panicked-sounding voice came from the woman, she was clearly not pleased. "All I can tell you is to run. This virus was stolen from our laboratory. It was locked up for a very good reason. It is highly contagious and spreads through bodily fluids. You need to run from it. If it's too late to run, lock yourself somewhere safe until rescue teams can find you and escort you to safety. Do not panic." The man with the news crew interrupted her with questions. "Run from what, exactly? What should we perceive as a threat?" The woman paused for a moment as if thinking. "Do not attempt to approach anyone with red eyes. They are infected with the virus." Her voice trembled.
