(ONGOING STORY) AUTHOR'S NOTES I wrote this story first in mid 2021 but lost the exact original transcript. A partial reconstruction of the original remained. Many parts of this story are still the same, although I've made changes where I felt it was best to. For every chapter, I've put a song which gives off the mood for that specific chapter. Some rants and random things about my mental health over the past few years, just felt like I wanted to share them. Writing and thought dumps are my outlets for processing my emotions on bad days. This is my experience and by no way a guide on how other people should be navigating their mental health journeys, but hopefully a good example of the kinds of things that have helped me through the darkness. The first few chapters were written in a very dark period, so read at your own discretion and stay safe. The latter chapters are a bit more constructive as I have learned techniques to cope, become kinder to myself and have been removed from situations that were worsening my mental health over my teenage years. I have no idea if it will help anyone to see this progression or even just to read the recent chapters and have a look at my thought processes and methods that are helping me make it through. If it does help I will be very happy :)

Out of boredom, she creates a Wattpad account to read more books and hopefully gain the confidence needed to write her own. But confidence, a great book, and a lot of followers is not enough to achieve Wattpad fame. With online weirdos, hackers and personal issues in the way it'll take a lot of perseverance to succeed here. At some point Niyi feels like she just might drown in a self made sea of self despair. It's hard being a writer, especially when things are looking really bad. But as the saying goes... Good things come to those who wait. Note: I've already written the entire book so the updates will be regular. Enjoy! 😁

Its been six months since a viral pandemic wiped out most of the world's population. Communities went into lockdown, desperately hiding in their homes from a virus which could not be stopped. Esme has somehow managed to survive, watching her family members die slowly from the disease. Her three year old brother, Callum, is the only other survivor that she knows of. When food and other rations eventually run out, Esme must venture out into a dystopian world to keep her little brother alive. But what is out there? Can she avoid the virus that has already killed so many? What, or who, will she have to fight to survive?
