●part 2: 2026● '"It shall be with great pleasure that I, Odin, King of Asgard and protector of the Nine Realms, announce the royal engagement of my firstborn son, Thor, scion of Asgard," Odin's mighty voice booms through the crowds, making it nearly impossible to grasp the essence of his words. "To the Lady Y/n of Vanaheimr, last hero-born of the Nine Realms!" As my gaze flicks to the royal family, the wide and glossy eyes of the second born prince who stands planted firmly at his father's side, lock with mine. And it is then that I see it vanish from the eyes I so adore. Gone is the calm, gone the order. It's the worst possible moment for the realisation to hit me square in the face. I am devoted to him, the God of Mischief and Chaos. And that wholeheartedly. Also, I am now betrothed to the crown prince - his brother.' ♤ Her birth had been a gift. Her life a promise. Raised as the key to a prophecy foretold to save the Gods from their doom, fate links young Y/n to Asgard. And to its princes. As the years pass them by, they grow inseparable. When Loki is apprehended by an organisation called the Time Variance Authority, he didn't expect to be roped into helping a certain agent hunt an elusive variant that had been terrorising the TVA for years. What he also didn't expect, was for the variant to apparently be connected to his timeline, to him. He couldn't have anticipated where this whole venture would lead. The woman from his future, exposing truths about the TVA, and one big branching mess. Sacrifice, grief, anger and love... But which will prevail? "I gave you my dagger..." I said..." the golden stranger spat, "KNEEEEL!" he roared, banging his stick on the ground and creating a huge blue flash. All around me, people froze in place, and started... kneeling? Even the ones that didn't speak English kneeled obediently. Why are you listening to this psycho? I looked around frantically, praying not to be the only one left standing. Because I refuse to kneel to some scary jerk with a big stick! No way! Oh crap, I was the only one left standing. I looked around nervously. What am I doing? I spotted Cath giving me a terrified look like, Get down here right now, you idiot! But I refused to back down. Okay, no other option. Time to be a stupid teen, I thought frantically. "No," I said quietly, my eyes wide and muscles tense. I tried to suppress my scared tone, but I had a feeling I didn't sound very brave. I'm so dead I'm so dead! The man's eyes speared into my gut. I couldn't stop myself from trembling, but I tried desperately not to make it too obvious. "What?" he hissed with enough venom in his tone to scare a rattlesnake. Tears collected in the corner of my eyes, and a cold feeling started to make its way through my stomach and hands. "I. Said. No," I managed to get out. His eyes narrowed. A jolt of terror ran through me. What's he going to do? Slowly, like a lion that cornered its prey, he stepped towards me. The voices in my head rose to a crescendo, warring in my brain as he reached a pale, long-fingered hand for my head. I tried to run, to scream, to hit him, to do anything to stop him from doing whatever he was about to do, but my body was petrified by the tendrils of terror running through it. He smirked, causing a sickening burst of fear to rush to my head. What is he doing WHAT IS HE DOING-? Then he pressed his hand to my forehead and a green light flared where his skin met mine. I had just enough time to look at him like Are you crazy? before the world went black.

what if odin's punishment to loki wasn't to spend the rest of his life in prison? he wanted to humiliate him for what he did so he put him as a servant for his son, thor . how will thor treat hem?? would he ever forgive him?

As far as all Asgardians know (Y/N) is a simple Asgardian villager and Loki is a simple Asgardian Prince. It seems they come from different worlds and it seems that they are different. (Y/N) and Loki are more similar in ways no one suspects but are different in ways everyone expects. While the characters used are from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) the setting takes place in an alternate timeline. FYI: One scene with gun violence. A scene featuring a character suffering from an anxiety attack which is triggered. A few scenes with mild sensuality. ********** Since the sequel to 'My Friend Loki' was not ready, instead, I present the following work which is actually a sequel to that upcoming sequel. The inspiration for this came from a writer's challenge from my friend on Instagram @markswears - which came a the right time! With my sequel not ready, I was at a loss and I wanted to have something to post for the holidays! Written in third person instead of first. Loki's friend finds herself in a frightening situation. After all the times Loki has had to rely on her, the tables have turned. The brother from another mother also plays a role, making a decision Loki's not too fond of, and we meet with a group of people again that were first introduced in the vignette "Mischief Night" (from 'The Loki Chronicles').
