This story is about Ash, no not pokemon Ash, but Ash the young adult with high capacity and even higher anxiety. Of course, this isn't exactly the best cocktail for someone that somehow finds themselves inside of the Marvel universe, where all her life long idols are. She freaks out every ten seconds to say the least, everything is just so exciting and the more she feels like an idiot! She is proud though of how well she deals with a certain God of mischief, how well in the sense she isn't passing out like she expected herse to. She isn't blurting out stupid things either...well at least not too much Loki on the other hamd seems pretty taken on the small mortal and finds her reactions to be adorable. He's also grown into the habit of protecting her without her knowing.

You were taken in by Tony Stark after being found in a raided science lab that was doing experiments on children to test any abilities of powers through constant radiation. You heard stories and had seen videos on the attack of New York years before. And you knew the stories of Loki, God of Mischief. Thor had told you many times of his selfish brother, how he tried killing him multiple times through out life. But has he changed? When you were about three years old your parents; the king and queen, decided that you were not beautiful or skillful enough to be the next ruler of your kingdom. So they hid you away inside the castle, never allowing you to venture beyond the palace walls. Your parents had another child when you were only four years old claiming her to be the next queen. She was to marry Thor son of Odin, and you grew envious; that is until you saw his brother.

Emily Miller never asked for her powers. She never knew how, why, or when she got them. But after they got her kicked out of two different foster homes, she decided that she had enough. She would live by herself, take care of herself, and only use these cursed powers when no one can discover her. Until, one fateful day, Tony Stark finds out about her, and she ends up living with the Avengers. After only a few weeks there, Thor brings in a mysterious figure who just so happens to be the very same god who nearly destroyed New York only a few months ago. What will become of these two troubled minds, each with their own hidden demons? Find out in this slow-burner. BTW, this is the first fanfic I've ever written, so please be kind! This is a learning experience for me, so there may be mistakes or things that don't make sense. Go ahead and let me know what you think of the story (Again, kindly, please)! Also, this is not a fanfic for those only looking for smut. There won't be any of that in this story, for one because there are occasionally kids on this app and I don't feel comfortable knowing that they could read it, and two, because I feel like a lot of fanfics lack good storytelling and just use smut to fill in space. I believe that stories can still be entertaining and enjoyable without making them sexual. So, if you're looking for smut, you're going to be disappointed. (There might still be slightly steamy kissing scenes, of course, just nothing much past that.) This story does not follow the MCU timeline or events exactly, it really only shares the same characters and setting. It is set after the attack on New York, but Sam and Bucky are in it (just because I love them, lol). Obviously, I do not own the Avengers or anything else from the MCU (sadly). I only own the plotline of this story and any OCs, Including but not limited to: Emily Miller, her foster families, and more.

But what will happen if y/n and Loki are forced to be together for an assignment posed as a married couple?
