He felt his nerves racing as he stood in front of the house, watching the light spilling out through the first-floor window. It was late and the road was deserted if not for him and a few moths flying around the streetlamp. He's been standing there for a while clutching the spare key in his hands as the hesitation concocted from many emotions held him back from going in. Steeling his nerves, he opened the gate and walked towards the front door with steps falling behind his quickening heartbeat. The living room was quiet. He glanced around settling his racing heart with deep breaths. He left a note on the table before walking towards the stairs with a small smile trying to tug the right corner of his lips. The room's door wasn't locked, and he walked in without knocking. The lights were on but there was no one around. He opened the window and looked out to where he was standing before. The coat he left on the back of the chair slid down to the floor as he sat down on the bed with a sigh, waiting for the owner of the house.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the journey of Abi and Ashu. A slow-burn romance story about growing up, the innocence of school love, the struggles of long-distance, and the harsh realities of balancing ambition with a relationship. Before you dive in, here's a little about what you're about to read: 1. Based on a True Story This story is heavily inspired by actual events from my life. Much of the narrative is drawn directly from my personal journals. Because of this, the writing style is journalistic and slice-of-life; it may feel repetitive at times, but that's because real life doesn't always follow a perfect movie script. While the core emotions and events are true, a few fictional elements have been added to stitch the narrative together smoothly. Some chapters will also feature simple illustrations to bring certain moments to life. 2. The POV System The main story is told entirely from Ashu's point of view. If you read only the numbered chapters (Chapter 1, 2, 3...), you'll still experience the complete story. You'll also notice some decimal chapters (like Chapter 5.5). These chapters are written from Abi's POV by my real-life girlfriend, the Abi to my Ashu. These chapters retell moments from her perspective or include scenes Ashu never witnessed. These are optional. Think of them as bonus content, but they aren't required to follow the plot. 3. Language The story is set in a Tamil cultural context. Tamil dialogues are used to maintain the authenticity of emotions, and English translations are provided either immediately or through context. 4. A Small Disclaimer This is my first time writing a story. I'm not a professional author-I'm learning as I go. I've used AI tools to help with grammar and structure, but the heart, emotions, and experiences are entirely my own. Please forgive any rookie mistakes along the way.
