This is the story of the Summer that changed Ruth's life.

This 500 word short story is my journey about my coming out and my friends supporting me. This short story is for "Look for Alaska" writing contest.

I am a girl. A 17 year old girl with a dream. A dream that went from writing online to a following of just 15 to New York streets. I give it all to that one email that changed my life.

May this offer some kind of comfort to you all that are waiting and remind you that what's meant for you will always arrive.

First person pov where meeting your brothers best friend leads to many many nights of confusion and new experiences both amazing and awful. Love, lust, secrets, heartbreak, & hatred.

The pivotal life change was when a devilish persona rose from 5 deep depths of cornerstones of my very being.

This story was sparked by my own May-December love that changes my thoughts on love today. But with all the wonderfulness my relationship brings, there are many factors to consider when entering into a relationship like this. What your family might think when old change hits at different times for both of us in our lives. To have children, maturity levels off-key, music types, etc. This story is to shed highlight on a topic that may be frond upon by many for some may reason, but show the inside of why many relationships thrive and succeed with the May-December age gap. My new perspective on love was changed because of the love created between my older man and myself. #LookingForAlaskaContent

"I would rather lose my body than my mind," she had said, adjusting her wig. -- Alzheimer's will take anyone. It doesn't care who you are, or what you deserve. Over an awkward dinner, Claire reflects on her Nanna's downward spiral. Through a mouthful of mushy turkey and brie, she is forced to consider life without her Nanna for the first time. It is only through small miracles -- her Nanna's memory flares, her humor sparks -- that Claire is able to navigate through this next phase of her Nanna's life.
