When Eddie's mom demands he goes to live with his aunt - after the only streak of rebellion he's ever participated in - he's afraid he won't have any friends, or that his aunt Bethany will be even worse than his mother. But he's quite shocked when she's quite possibly the nicest person ever. So nice that she lets one of the neighborhood kids stay with her and her family if his home situation gets bad. Richie has never had the best homelife. After everything blows up one night, his neighbor is kind enough to open him with open arms.
