Y/n was like any other army recruit, young, dumb, he thought he was invincible. But... when it came time for him to deploy things took a dark turn. Not even a week after he got on base they were attacked. Y/n was holding them at bay, manning the machine gun nest. Unfortunately in a push the enemy launched an incendiary IED into the nest. In the explosion and fire the right half of his face was burnt off along with several severe burns below his right his elbow and knee. His battalion held off the attack.
